An event entitled ‘Healthy in Body, Healthy in Neshama’ took place in Crown Heights recently, with practical tips for a healthy and successful summer given by local speakers Rabbi Yosef Braun of the Crown Heights Beis Din, Pediatrician Dr. Robert Feldman, and Lubavitch Yeshiva Principal Rabbi Yosef Simpson.
Participants received ‘A Call to Action,’ a publication with teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe pertaining to the summer months, and a booklet of summer safety tips compiled by Hatzalah.

DOCTOR FELDMAN IS AMAZING! I love the way he sees the torah in everything.
Rabbi Braun is sophisticated, eloquent and down-to-earth. Michayeh tzou heren!
In the beginning the Rebbe mocked it because it was an “avodah zarah” of sorts and it was not seen as a means of serving Hashem. The Rebbe’s criticism was not that people shouldn’t go but why does there have to be such a “koch” in it, such an irrational excitement and obsession with it.

This guy is phenomenal!
thank you very much, you made some great points, i am going to work on it with my kids, its going to make my summer very meaningful and to my family as a hole, thanks again.
What was the use of sharing the fact that the Rebbe “mocked” going to the country – and then “changed his approach?”. That just sounded weird – can someone clarify please?
I was there, and really wanted to share the info with my friends and family. Thanks for posting this!
