Jews in war-torn Ukraine will be receiving glasses according to their needs thanks to a major gift from a U.S. optical company.
The donation was made in support of the Jews who are living under constant fear of Russian attacks.
It is being facilitated by the Jewish Relief Network Ukraine (JRNU), which has rabbis, staff and volunteers working all across Ukraine to provide critical humanitarian aid.
“This donation will help families receive glasses according to their needs and receive better eye care without any charge,” said Simcha Levenhartz, a representative of the JRNU who is coordinating the distribution.
Chabad Rabbis across the country were asked to fill out forms for the residents who are in need of glasses. Opticians on behalf of JRNU will be visiting communities to perform eye check-ups and provide prescriptions.
The Jewish communities are exploring cooperation with local humanitarian organizations to make this service available to all Ukrainian citizens.

This is really a great gift that we don’t think about in a war torn region , I hope this will help open the eyes of the Ukrainians Jews to leave Ukraine and not repeat the mistake of some Jews during Ww2 , unfortunately this conflict seems to be going nuclear ☢️ Gd forbid and we more than ever need Moshiah Now!
