Dear Crown Heights Community,
THANK YOU!
Since the inception of the yellow Yad L’Shliach card campaign in Crown Heights, you have added more than $10,000 to your grocery bills for the benefit of Shluchim worldwide.
Each time you added a card to your purchases – whether it was $1, $3 or $5 – you added to the $10,000 being given to those whose entire day is a continuous act of Tzedakah and Shlichus.
Thanks to you we have been fortunate enough to be able to assist more Shluchim and Shluchos and their children. In fact 10 Shluchim and their families received $1000 gifts.
Thanks to the big-hearted business owners who have enthusiastically agreed to place the cards prominently in their check-out aisles, more Shluchim’s families have had their financial burdens lightened. Remember these gifts are not for the mosdos but rather for the shluchim and shluchos personal use.
In particular, we want to recognize Kahan’s Superette, Empire Kosher, Kosher Town, Kingston bake shop, and Mr. Green’s for their generous partnership with Yad L’Shliach in this endeavor.
Know that every dollar you donated went directly to Shluchim. A Shlucha was able to buy her toddler a first pair of shoes. A young Shliach was able to buy himself his own picture of the Rebbe. Children of Shluchim all over the world were able to hear a YES, instead of the usual “not now, we don’t have the money, maybe soon, thanks for your patience.”
The words of praise that we receive from the Shluchim, is heartwarming and encourages us and should encourage you to continue even in this small way to keep swiping those ‘yellow cards’ whenever you shop.
Please continue your legendary kindness by supporting our troops and may we continue to share good news until the coming of Moshaich now.
Become a monthly donor by visiting us at yadlshliach.com or send a check to Yad L’shliach 305 Kingston Ave. Brooklyn NY 11213.
Gratefully,
The Friedman Family
Yad L’Shliach
P.S. Total amount given to shluchim since inception is $638,000
Every week as I pay my grocer hundereds of dollars for our weekly food order, I always add a card, I thank you for making it available and I think of my children on shlichus, who do the Rebbes work day and.night. One suggestion, could you place them in the kollel store as well I know that so many members of chabad shop there and they definitely would want to contribute.
People don’t always realize how much shluchim could struggle on a daily basis… As someone who benefited from this fund- Thank-you for being there for us. May we soon be able to contribute and help other shluchim!
Rabbi Friedman Thank so much for the $1,000 check i received about 8 month ago.
I am amazed how you collected over a half a million dollars for us Shluchim Thank you
Shliach
An appropriate, quiet yet powerful progrs, befitting Reb Yaakov Moshe Friedman of blessed memory, in whose merit and memory this fund was created.
A hearty yasher koach is due, as it is a private enterprise and not part of the “government” like funds raised and distributed by the “head office” of Chabad.
Also, here, every seems to be eligble.
Being a Shliach in a smaller town where the funds aren’t always there, it’s very appreciative, uplifting, warming… receiving such a check. Words cannot adequately describe the effect this has on Shluchim. Yaher Koach to all those that contribute and may Hashem give you in return only revealed good in parnasa, health, and nachas from you family. In the same breathe we have to give a shout out and Yasher Koach to Eli Rosenfeld from FL who has been there and is there for many Shluchim in their time of need. Click here to contribute to either of these wonderful… Read more »
