An inspiring and stimulating event will take place for women, this Tuesday night, Chai Elul, highlighting Chasidic women influencers in our community.
The event, “Mom Boss: Chasidic Edition” will feature a panel with Chassidic women entrepreneurs and organizational leaders, including Devorah Bukiet, Brooklyn-based event planner, Rivky Katz, Director of Programming for the Levi Yitzchok Library, and Chaviva New, Director of Aliya Girls Loft and Neshamos.org.
The Guest Speaker is the sought after speaker Amanda Spiro.
Amanda will share her story of survival after being diagnosed with cancer, and her journey toward inner strength and the power of the Neshama.
Entertainment for the evening will include music by singers and musicians Esther Freeman, Moussia Mendelsohn, Chaviva Tarlow, Laura Melnicoff, and more.
The event is being organized by “Jewish Women Influencers,” a Crown Heights-based group, whose goal is to inspire women in areas “Purely Family” – Marriage, Chinuch, Parenting, Taharas Hamishpacha, and more.
The event will take place on Tuesday, at 8 pm, at the Jewish Children’s Museum.
It is nice to see these young women taking leadership roles in the community!
Perhaps there is at least one woman the age of these leaders’ mothers who our community ALSO sees as an “influencer” in the community? We are supposed to see ourselves as midgets standing on the shoulders of giants — referring to our reverence for the older generations. Some of these leaders’ moms are probably all of 50 or 55 — not over-the-hill in today’s world. Many middle-aged women in our community are true dynamos, creating new businesses, solving community problems, and mentoring quietly behind the scenes.
Would love to hear more about the unsung heroines off of social media that are trail blazing behind the scenes as true dugma chayas.
