Admit it – Shavuos is the most delicious Yom Tov!
What’s better than searching for cheesecake and blintzes recipes on Instagram, or following a discussion on Whatsapp for that once-a-year milchig dish. Your creativity comes to life with those beautiful cheese boards and you can’t help but to check out the bakery section in the grocery store.
Did you think of your friends and neighbors who only wish they can do the same? They are staying silent in the discussions on Whatsapp groups. They are walking up and down the grocery aisles in despair. They are wondering how they can make Shavuos memorable for their children when the only milchigs they have is some cereal and milk and a cup of instant coffee in the morning.
They watch groceries’ costs rise every week and wonder how they will manage six Yom Tov meals and the extra end of the school year and summer expenses.
For too many in our community, this is their reality!

Chevra Simchas Shabbos V’Yom Tov (CSSY) was initiated by the Rebbe to fund the needs of our own Crown Heights Community for Shabbos and Yom Tov.
The Rebbe encouraged each one of us to ensure that everyone has what they need for their families to have a simchadike Yom Tov.
This Shavuos, let’s join together, b’achdus, as the Yidden did before Kabalas HaTorah, K’Ish Echad, Belev Echad, and ensure that every member of our community can celebrate Shavuot with dignity and joy.
