This Friday the annual kinus Hashluchim for the Western U.S region will open in Omaha, Nebraska, hosted by Rabbi Mendel Katzman and his wife.
Shluchim from, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah, Washington and Wyoming will be attending.
Designed to strengthen and inspire the shluchim, the 3 day kinus will feature workshops, discussions and lectures.
The guest speaker will be Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch, who is also responsible for arranging these regional conferences as per a direct instruction he received from the Rebbe.
This regional conference is the first of five planned over the coming months.
The next regional conference will be for the New York and New England region. It will bring Shluchim together from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont and Rhode Island. The kinus will be held on Sunday, 16th of Sivan at Chabad of Stamford, Connecticut, hosted by Rabbi Yisroel Deren his wife.

Reb Mendel Katzman (Hakohen) is takeh a chassid and a dugmah chaya of a shliach durch and durch. I am proud to know him and to have learned chassidus with him in morristown many years ago.Go Mendel!
