Rabbi Shimon and Chaya Mushka Goldberg, along with their son Mendel, are the newest Shluchim in California joining the growing Chabad Jewish Community Center in Pacific Palisades, an affluent residential neighborhood in the Westside region of Los Angeles.
They will be joining her parents and the center’s directors Rabbi Zushe and Zisi Cunin, and Rabbi Sholom and Nechama Diskin, who direct the center’s youth programs and summer camp.
The Goldbergs will lead the local branch of the Friendship Circle, an organization that brings happiness and companionship to children, teens and young adults who have special needs, and offers support to their families.
They will also be charged with engaging the teen community and their families, launching the Teen Leadership Initiative (TLI), instilling Jewish awareness and pride through fun and interactive programs as part of the Cteen network.
“They are inspired and excited to come back to their beloved Palisades community and fill these important needs,” Rabbi Cunin said.
Their appointment was made by California’s Head Shliach Rabbi Shlomo Cunin.

Palisades is lucky
Chaya is the most dedicated and sweetest teacher. She is loving and caring and my daughter adores her. We’re so excited she’s coming back with her sweet husband and child! What a pleasure meeting him when they delivered the Rosh Hashana honeycakes.
They so graciously walked 3 miles in order to blow the shofar for us. Thanks again and looking forward to some great events!
Nancy
