The Israeli city of Chevron, as dangerous as it is holy, seems to be the popular tourist attraction for American and European Jews.
Some 6 Chabad Shluchim from the U.S., Canada and Austria have been in the area this past week – each on a separate occasion.
They were greeted by Rabbi Danny Cohen, the English speaking director of Chabad of Hebron, and Rabbi Yossi Swerdlov of Israel’s Lubavitch Youth Organization.
The week began with Rabbi Dovid Weitman, Director of Beit Chabad Morumbi in S. Paulo, Brazil, who has arrived with community members to celebrate a Bar Mitzvah.
Another visit was of members of Chabad of the Town in Montreal, Canada, led by Rabbi Moshe Krasnianski.
Head Shliach to Austria, Rabbi Jacob Biderman has arrived for a Bar Mitzvah for the 13 year-old son of the Pomerantz family.
Next were two Shluchim from Palm Springs, California, Rabbi Yonason Denebeim and Rabbi Shimon Posner, who participated in a wedding at the Me’aras HaMachpela.
And finally, Head Shliach to Long Island Rabbi Tuvia Teldon spent a Shabbos with his community from Commack, NY.
Now everyone come move!!
