The following email was received by the staff of Your Torah Tutors:
Last year, my son in third grade was unable to go to school for what ended up being most of the school year while we worked to get him the classroom support he needed. During those long weeks and months at home, we tried to keep him engaged in learning activities, but it was difficult, as both of us parents work. We were concerned about our son’s missed opportunities for learning, and at a loss as to how to help him keep up.
I saw an article for Your Torah Tutors on COLlive.com, and felt like this could be the solution we had been looking for. I contacted YTT, and the process of signing up my son was very smooth. Within a short time, he had been paired with a caring tutor at a time that worked for our family.
My son met with his tutor for half an hour a day, four days a week. His progress and accomplishments came fast. We had tried to keep our expectations reasonable as to how much he would learn, but he surpassed them. He was learning and remembering dozens of words a week. I also noticed how his tutor would weave in small lessons in emunah and Torah from the vocabulary words. At times, my son was not in the mood to cooperate and learn, but his tutor was patient and gentle, and managed to reach my son.
Within a couple of months, my son had mastered over 230 words! He is so proud of himself, and B”H he was able to rejoin his class this year, even moving up a grade level.
YTT gave him skills, and more importantly, confidence in his abilities.

My son couldn’t read a line of Gemarah on His own, and now he learns himself (age 14)
