By Chabad Girls Academy
At Chabad Girls Academy, we think of the upper elementary years as a student’s most formative ones – years that witness a student’s maturation into a competent and confident individual.
Our dedicated staff creates a supportive environment in which the girls can come to fully appreciate themselves, their community, and their frumkeit. Our emphasis is on developing our relationships with each student and nurturing their friendships with peers, because we believe that these interpersonal skills are the foundation for their future success and happiness.
This year we have structured the academic learning so that we can best catch the girls up to grade level after they’ve all been in lockdown from the pandemic. We are schooling them in smaller groups for skill-based subjects so they can get more personal attention in their studies.
Our CGA classrooms are filled with excitement for learning, since our devoted and warm educational staff structure the lessons for engagement and team building. This year we will be implementing thinking routines and Kagan techniques in our classes so that the students enjoy their classes while developing deep understanding in their learning.
These years are so much more than just academics! Our traditional curriculum is supplemented with daily electives, essential developmental workshops, extracurricular activities, special programs, and hands-on educational events. These opportunities equip the girls to be productive, well-rounded individuals.
Over the summer, we set up our beautiful Jewish library so that the books are visible and accessible for students to explore. Thank you to parents for contributing books and a special shout out to the Jewish Children’s Museum for their many donations when they restructured their own library.
Be a part of it! We have only a few spaces remaining in our 5th – 8th grade classes.
