Dear Friend,
As we prepare for the upcoming holiday of Pesach, celebrating the freedom of our people from slavery in ancient Egypt, we must do our utmost to help free our brethren from the shackles of uncertainty.
Many families from around the world reach out annually, seeking our help to ensure they can celebrate Pesach with true freedom and peace of mind.
Each year, the Rebbe would encourage and solicit donations on behalf of the Maos Chittim Fund, managed by Machne Israel.
This fund continues its vital work to this day, and you can still answer the Rebbe’s call to help those in need.
Last year, more than $150,000 was distributed to 325 individuals and families in need.
The Rebbe would personally review the names of the recipients and encourage raising additional funds to ensure every request was fulfilled.
The Rebbe’s unwavering commitment to ensure that no request went unmet continues to inspire Machne Israel and its supporters today.
With many Jewish families in Israel and around the world struggling with financial hardship—especially in the face of rising costs—the Maos Chittim Fund is more crucial than ever this year.
In a letter to a group of students who donated to the fund in 1962, the Rebbe wrote: “The mitzvah of Maos Chittim is one of the highest forms of tzedakah, and it will stand you in good stead. Your active participation gives me the certain hope that in all other mitzvot, you show the same degree of devotion and fulfill them with beauty and joy…”
As we prepare to gather with our loved ones for the Seder, let us remember that our joy can only be complete when we know that all our brethren have the means to celebrate Pesach with dignity and happiness.
The Maos Chittim Fund provides discreet financial assistance to families and individuals in need, helping them celebrate the holiday of freedom with peace of mind and joy.
Your support is more vital than ever.
Please consider donating to the Machne Israel Pesach Fund, nurtured by the Rebbe. Help us ensure that every Jew can enjoy a truly joyous Pesach.
