3 years ago we enrolled our son in Darchai Menachem. We loved his former school, but he was not succeeding.
The decision was difficult since my son loved his friends, and was opposed to the change, but we knew it would be best.
On his very first day of Darchai Menachem, as we were waiting outside the building, trying to introduce him to some other boys who would be in his class, a couple of sweet PTA moms asked if he would be willing to help them hang some decorations for a photo booth. He got involved right away, together with a few other boys, and immediately felt more comfortable.
He then met his teacher (a teacher who still is very involved in his chinuch to this day and we are in touch with regularly), went right up to his class and that was the last time he was ever nervous before school.
Over the years at Darchai we have worked closely with some unbelievable teachers, each one special in his own way, but all focused on bringing out the best in our boy.
My husband and I are so grateful to the staff at Darchai Menachem, and specifically to his teachers for everything they’ve done over the years.
We feel lucky to have our son in a school that not only emphasizes the teacher-student connection, but encourages parents to be a part of it.
As they are currently running their annual fundraiser, this year entitled “The Darchai Connection” which celebrates this unique teacher-student connection, I hope you will contribute.
Thank you
