“Chai Rotel” is being described as one of the most effective segulos that many say can lead to a change in one’s fortune for bearing children, finding a shidduch, health and wealth.
Its power was written about by the Rebbe in a letter from Lag BaOmer 5749, that one should contribute a sum that is connected to 18.
In recent years, a group of bochurim and chassidim in Israel have been collecting the Chai Rotel for Lag BaOmer parades that Chabad Houses organize in Israel.
Their aim this year is to provide some 200,000 drinks to children in the Jewish themed marches in Jerusalem, Bnei Brak, Ashdod and elsewhere.
Names of the donors will be read at the the gravesite of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai in Meron and at the Rebbe’s Ohel in Queens on Thursday, Lag BaOmer day.
Lag BaOmer is known to be a day of miracles by the Rebbes of Chabad as mentioned in Hayom Yom.
Rabbi Yisroel Hershkowitz, the Shliach in the southern Israeli city of Ofakim, says he witnessed a Chai Rotel miracle in 1998.
“On the Shabbos before Lag BaOmer that year, I spoke in shul about the miracles that we saw by the Rebbe – especially for those who didn’t have children.
“A local, who never comes to our shul but happened to be there, has heard the speech and came over telling me that he’s been married for several years and has not been blessed with children.
“I told him the Rebbes said that taking part in a parade can bring a ‘yeshua’. So he donated all the drinks at our parade that year.
“Sure enough, soon after his wife gave birth to a baby boy which they named Menachem Mendel in appreciation for the Rebbe.”

Some of the comments here stem from pure ignorance & mockery!
The Ta’amei HaMinhagim says that countless people that had difficulty having children, finding a shidduch, recovering from an illness or attaining a livelihood were successful only after they donated “chai rotel” for the Lag B’omer celebrations in Meron. Rav Ovadia M’Bartenura and the Sh’loh Hakadosh also confirm the success of donating to increase the simcha of Lag B’omer in Meron.
Thank u for posting the English web
i love how when someone is doing a good deed and he gets a bracha from it it becomes a segula.
I was once on the phone when my virus went away, does that mean going on the phone is a segulah to treat your virus?
it may be a good thing but because it worked once that does not make it a segulah there are lots of good things we can do in order to accept the brachos
See michtav Keloli for Lag Baomer 5749/1989

they says its a segulah to try and keep torah and mitzvos as well as behave like an emeser chasidishe and erliche yid in all business dealings and other relationships, be respectful to all people and be an all round good hearted person
not sure it if its true but if anyone did this and the seguleh worked please let me know.
i think the rebbe encouraged this as well, perhaps he mentioned it once but im not 100% sure
Is there an English website to donate on ? I can’t read Hebrew.
Can someone post where that letter is located? Id love to see it.
