The job search landscape in Crown Heights has changed dramatically over the last few years. Anyone looking to start their career or make a career change now has more and better options than ever before when it comes to job training, placement, networking, mentorship and so much more.
But not enough people know about these options. Crown Heights Young Entrepreneur (CHYE) and the JCC of Greater Coney Island are trying to change that by hosting the first Crown Heights community Jobs Night for young men, to be held Tuesday June 25 at CHCH on 278 Albany Avenue. Attendance is free, sushi and refreshments will be served.
The program begins at 8:00 PM, and will feature access to some of the top experts in the following career search fields:
· Direct Job Placement
· Interview Prep
· Personal Aptitude testing
· Scholarship Applications
· Vocational Skills Courses
· Internship Placement
This will be an incredibly valuable event for any young man starting out on their career path or contemplating a change. Come learn about the resources and connections that are available to you, and come meet the people who can help give your career search just the jumpstart it might need.
This event has been funded with the generous donations of private donors and by a grant secured with the help of city councilmember Chaim. M. Deutsch.
Event co-organizer Rabbi Yehoshua Werde of CHYE wants anyone looking for a job or a career or even just considering their options to come out and give this event a shot: “When a bunch of yidden come together to help each other find parnassah, Hashem smiles on the gathering, and good things tend to happen”. So clear your schedule for 8:00 PM Tuesday June 25, and come take what may the most important step you’ll ever take on the road to finding a real career.
