When he visited us, I was a little boy. He attended my bar mitzvah and gently encouraged me to mover closer to hashem. Now 40 years later, I see it happen in the next generation. May his memory be blessed.

A beautiful article about an amazing individual
However it bothers me that the title RABBI can’t be put before Reb Yossel’s name. A little derech eretz wouldn’t go amiss.

A Plane Ride

I was once on a plane traveling from South Africa to New york
And Rabbi Wineberg was also on the plane . I cant say the whole flight ,because I was sleeping for some of it,but everytime i looked at his place his eyes were fixed to a certain maamar he had. now remember the flight from jhb to new york is 15 -17 hours long – it was really inspirational to witness .
