If you are a business owner in Crown Heights, then save the date of January 15th For the business network event of the year.
All of the business “machers,” leaders, and innovators in the community will be convening at Beth Rivkah Rose Hall from 3 pm to 6 pm for the second annual Crown Heights Young Entrepreneurs (CHYE) Chosen Business Conference, a shnas hakhel event.
Catering to Lubavitch B2B services businesses, the Chosen Business Conference is an opportune time for business owners to network with fellow Crown Heights business owners, learn from experts, and hopefully pick up a few new clients and valuable connections that will help them grow their businesses.
An anticipated number of 600 attendees, including all of the “who’s who’s” of the Crown Heights Anash business world are anticipated to be at the expo, collectively representing $1 billion in purchasing power. Attendees will be able to connect with leaders and mentors, meet like-minded entrepreneurs, and gain exposure to over one thousand established and early-stage businesses as they discover valuable products and services and navigate over 80 vendor booths sponsored by local businesses. Additionally, they will learn about the immense resources and opportunities for funding, referrals, and collaboration available in the community.
Notable attendees include Ari Minkowicz of Prune Danish looking for warehouse software solutions, Sam Stern (real estate developer), Shlomie Greenwald of SGM Socher looking for staffing Soutions, Menachem Light of KFE Group looking for branding and marketing services, and Meir Bukchin of EMB Looking for Manpower solutions.
The Chosen Business Conference was borne out of the idea that “Business begins in the shCHuna.” The Rebbe taught in a sicha (Parshas Behar 5731 Tav Shin Lammed Alef 1971) that one should support the businesses and parnasa of those within the community before looking outside. Help starts at home. The Chosen Business Conference gives Lubavitch business owners a chance to work with and support one another.
“Most are not aware of the enormous amount of business opportunity that exists in their own backyard,” said Yehoshua Werde, founder of CHYE. “This will help attendees meet and discover businesses and talent within their own community. We’re hoping this will not only be educational and inspiring but a real business generator for the attendees.”
“Our first priority as a member of the schuna is to help our own,” said Sam Stern, a well-known real estate developer looking to support local businesses. “Guys like us benefited from the advice and guidance of the previous generation of business leaders in the community so it’s only right that we pay it forward by doing the same for the next generation.”
The potential value for each attendee is unlimited and the entire event costs only $10 a ticket. You may also purchase a booth or become a sponsor.
In addition, there will be a designated area where attendees will have a chance to get free LinkedIn headshots from a professional photographer.

Is this event for women as well?
Is one to assume this is only for men?
I don’t want to be the only female there. And I won’t go if there is not a sufficient amount of female representation as that would obviously be foolish.
