Thank You Shalom Mordechai

I have experienced this week something more moving than anything I have ever witnessed - the unprecedented display of Ahavas and Achdus Yisroel in response to the ongoing attempted lynching of a fellow Jew. Full Story

Dryfus will only hurt cause.

Although I agree that there is a he amount of animosity and clear indications of the prosecution going way beyond the letter of the law, I believe that screaming anti-Semitism and referencing blood libels and Dryfus will only hurt our cause.

as i mentioned, i agree, with his point, and like i said in 14, therebbe himself sais the same thing regarding the frierdiker rebbes arrest, all i was saying was, that the fact that “his son getzi, and his family share this position”, is not a good response to “It’s good and fine for G-d to say that, but you should not be ‘A Guteh Oif Yenem’s Cheshbon ,’ which translates to ‘You have no right to be a good guy on someone else’s account i.e., to rationalize away someone else’s hardships” since their is a difference between rationalizing your… Read more »

You’re feelings are well taken, but how does the author’s pointing out the extraordinary good that the tragedy and Sm’s Emunah has brought about reflect insensitivity? Would it be better if nothing good has come out of the tragedy?

over shabbos i learned the sicha in L.s. chelek 23, yud beis tamuz, wheere the rebbe explains, how one of the ways that the frierdiker rebbe overcame his suffering (from not being able to continue his work of Hafatzah) while in prison, was by realizing how (in aditioon to the increasement that their was in hafatzah after his release) even while in prison, his imprisoment caused a great amount of ahavas yisroel by the chasidim who worked efortlesley to gain his release.

““Well,” I can hear some readers insisting, “It’s good and fine for G-d to say that, but you should not be ‘A Guteh Oif Yenem’s Cheshbon ,’ which translates to ‘You have no right to be a good guy on someone else’s account i.e., to rationalize away someone else’s hardships.’” To this I respond: “If you listened to the words Shalom Mordechai’s son Getzy, who spoke during the aforementioned rally, on behalf of his father and family, you would now that the Rubashkin family fully share this position, which brings us to another reason to thank SM.” when it comes… Read more »

What’s truly amazing in this whole horror of a case is that those responsible probably think they can get away with it untouched
If justice is not doled out to all those responsible this country better reconsider who and what they are.
Otherwise how can one balk when others say that ‘America is the great Satan?’

Rabbi Yoseph Kahanov thanks for a fine article!
Let’s hope all those involved have an ending like Bilaam.
After all, they’re all ‘chaiv misa’ according to ‘The 7 Noahide Laws.’

I must say that he way Getzel spoke at the end of the speach was So full of emunah and bitchon, something that we all needed to hear during these challenging times. In that zechus alone there should be a great yeshua!

While I think everyone is in full agreement about the harshness and wickedness of this dumbfounding case, and while anti-Semitism may be involved as well – how do you compare a case in which a guy (SMR) pleaded guilty in court, to the Dreyfus case, in which the guy was completely framed and was totally innocent? Please don’t throw at me all the shame and disgrace SMR has had to endure. I am with you completely on that. Please don’t throw at me how everyone else in the business does this and how it wouldn’t have come to this without… Read more »

I have yet to read an article as amazing and mind blowing as the one I just finished reading. . . twice! It is the most inspiring and thought provoking article I have ever read before. . . it brought me to tears , and I am sure, without a doubt, that the feelings and emotions that are expressed here, echo and resound with all of us. . . all of us , who have followed this tragic story from beginning to end, and cried , pleaded and begged for R’ Shalom; Thank you author, for putting into words so… Read more »
