Dear Fellow Shluchim,
I wanted to take a brief moment while I balance Tishrei preparations and continued Harvey Relief to personally send you a quick Thank you.
For Houstonians that lost everything, you lent a helping hand and provided a listening ear. Don’t underestimate your impact. Your visit touched people and gave them an island of peace in these weeks of chaos. Just by being here, you let people know that they’re not alone and that Chabad is with them. With everything our local Shluchim have been doing on a macro level, the much-needed personal visits were hard for us to provide as often as we would have liked. Multiple people have told me how touched they were by your visits. I am certain that this will stick with them for a very long time.
Perhaps even more than that, what you did for us -your fellow Shluchim- is immeasurable. We put out a call for help and you responded! Not just by organizing a (much-appreciated) drive in your community, but by getting on a plane and coming here to be there with us and for us. After a week and a half of round the clock relief work, your visit gave US the boost we needed to carry on. Chassidim Ein Mishpacha has never been so clear to us!
On behalf of all the shluchim, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!
