A potential armed robbery was averted on Thursday night in Crown Heights after quick intervention by customers and staff.
The incident unfolded near Troy Ave and Montgomery Street when a group of Black teens entered the CH Butcher restaurant, creating a disturbance. Patrons and employees responded quickly by immediately pushing them out. One teen was then heard saying: “Come outside and I’ll shoot you.”
After reviewing security footage, it was later revealed that one member of the group was holding what appears to be a handgun. Shmira and the NYPD are investigating.

There were no injuries reported.

Remember the criminals HAVE guns and the police are 10-20 minutes away. In those 10 to 20 minutes countless of lives can c”v be lost. Obtain a license to carry and carry and if your are in a situation respond responsibly so you can SAVE lives! No one is looking to be in these situations, but saving lives is number one.
Goes without saying that owners of these restaurants should be carrying.

Guys. This is insane. We need to fix the crime situation NOW. That means we need to change the rules for these criminals who are let out of prison every day. We need to buckle down on crime, and put the fear of G-d in the hearts of these criminals. It’s not okay that people are scared to walk around their neighborhood, and that we are threatened with violence constantly. Enough is enough.
