Thousands participated in the 29th annual March of the Living yesterday in the Nazi death camps in Poland.
The event was attended by the Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv, Rabbi Israel Meir Lau, Minister Naftali Bennett, Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot and 70 Holocaust survivors.
Israel’s head military cantor Shai Abramson and international singing star Dudu Fisher led the singing of “Kel Malachi Rachamim” that brought great emotion to the huge crowd that was present.
The Chabad Shliach in Krakow, Rabbi Eliezer Gurary, took part along with a special delegation from the Chabad Youth Organization in Israel and a special delegation from Chabad of Warsaw was led by Rabbi Meir Stambler.
Hundreds of teens participating in the March put on Tefillin with a group from Chabad’s CTeen organization, some for the first time.
