From Challah baking and cooking to roasting marshmallows and farbrengens, to the Everglades and arcade, and a sunset at the beach, to all night dance parties including a Shabbos filled with Food, Farbrengens and fun, more than 20 girls from New York, California, Florida, Virginia and New Jersey, gathered from Thursday night Through Monday morning for a Gan Izzy Teen Camp Experience reunion at the home of Rabbi Mendy and Tzippy Weiss in Miami Lakes, Florida.
Head Counselor Nechama Weiss and two of the counselors Uriella Hakimian and Rivkah Hirshowitz came along as well.
The girls stayed up all night farbrenging, talking and bonding.
“In times we are living in right now, this type of interaction is so needed,” said director Tzippy Weiss. “The girls all gave up their phones for the entire weekend, to have time for real communication and fun. They are unbelievable girls with so much potential who have formed a family as friends for life.
“We are so happy to have been able to facilitate this reunion over the Shabbos of Hey Teves and to have been able to give the opportunity for them to be inspired in a setting of sun, fun and relaxation, away from the cold made it all the more enjoyable,” Tzippy Weiss said.
Girls that participated in the reunion were Malka Shwei, Bina Levine, Menucha Levine, Meemie Brafman, Mimi Robinson, Esther Calvo, Liba Kolt, Leah Lehr, Chana Kahn, Adina Gordon, Aviva Moorvitch, Shoshi Wertheimer, Henya Stock, Leah Zilberman, Sara Feldman, Ettel Mina Recu, Naomi Baram and Esti Mayer as well as counselors Nechama Weiss, Uriella Hakimian and Rivka Hirshowitz.
Monday morning, the girls left back to their hometowns inspired, exhausted and excited to share all their weekend experiences with friends and family.
