A nice crowd gathered for the inaugural “Taste of Moshiach” Shiur in Crown Heights at Beis Eliezer Yitzchok Shul on Thursday evening.
The new initiative, part of a worldwide learning program about Moshiach, will be offered as a weekly Shiur about Moshiach, along with Kugel and cholent.
Rabbi Mendel Krasnianski began the Shiur about the Emunah and belief in Moshiach according to Rishonim, Acharonim and the Rebbe’s sichos. His eloquent and vivid conveyance of the Rebbe’s Torah captivated and inspired the crowd.
Following the Shiur, Rabbi Kalman Weinfeld, known for his warm passion and energy, Rabbi Shlomie Naparstek, co-director of the Moshiach Office, developers of the Tut Altz Moshiach learning program, and Rabbi Krasnianski led a Q&A session and discussion dedicated to questions about Moshiach and how we can bring it into our lives today.
Chavrusa learning followed.
Participants enjoyed the hot buffet spread, and were able to take home delicious gefilte fish made with Rebbetzin Penina Weinfeld’s famous recipe.
“Rabbi Krasnianski will be on site at the learning each week to tailor a learning program for you from the prepared materials on various intriguing topics on Moshiach. Come with a Chavruasa, or let us help you find one there,” organizers said.
The Shiur will take place on Thursday evenings at Beis Eliezer Yitzchok, 394 Kingston Ave.
The evening was dedicated in memory of Tomer Malka bas R’ Yitzchok Levy obm, whose yartzeit is tonight, and Rabbi Dov Yoel ben Rabbi Dovber Levy obm.
