Days before heading out to Yeshivas around the world, Talmidim Hashluchim who will spend the next year in 30 different Yeshivas gathered at F.R.E.E. of Brighton Beach, NY, for the yearly Kinus Talmidim Hashluchim.
Upon exiting the buses, the Talmidim Hashluchum were greeted in the F.R.E.E. shul with light refreshments.
The bochurim were first addressed by Rabbi Berel Levin, who spoke about a new Sefer that he is publishing on Hilchos Shabbos in connection with the Mesechta that is being learned in Yeshivos around the world this year – Shabbos.
After Rabbi Levin’s speech, the Shluchim made their way upstairs to the main shul where they davened Mincha.
Following Mincha, the Shluchim heard from Levi Katz, who presented an overview on all the upcoming exciting programs to look forward to throughout the year.
Afterward, 5 veteran Shluchim shared tips from their personal experiences on Shlichus.
Mendel Deitch, who was a Shliach in Brunoy, France, discussed how to work together as a Kevutza to make your Shlichus successful.
Avremel Silberberg, who was a Shliach in Tzfas, Israel, discussed the idea of pushing Bochurim to join programming and being there for all their needs.
Levi Shemtov, who was a Shliach in Chicago, spoke about investing oneself in Shlichus and making it personal.
Meir Lazaroff, who was a Shliach in Coral Springs, FL, discussed how to stay focused on one’s Shlichus without being distracted by the different obstacles that can arise during the year.
Finally, Moshe Zalman Vorovitch, who was a Shliach in Westchester, NY, discussed working together with the Bochurim on their own level to have the biggest impact.
After taking a group photo, the Talmidim Hashluchim sat down and enjoyed a lavish dinner.
During the dinner, Rabbi Yosef Kleyn, Mashpia in Yeshivah Lubavitch of Nyack, NY, spoke about the power a Shliach can have on the Bochurim, and reminded of the importance of always being sure to be a good Dugma Chaya – living example – and lead the way for the young Bochurim, who are the future of Lubavitch.
After bentching, the Talmidim Hashluchim received as a memento, the Sefer on Hilchos Shabbos by Rabbi Levin along with a special Kovetz about Yud Alef Nissan – 120 years.
Not a big surprise that the YKTH 5781 staff are always on the news!!
