A unity Torah is being written in memory of Reuven Avraham Lieberman obm, the son of Shluchim Mendy and Itty Lieberman, Shluchim in Toronto, ON, who passed away one month ago at the age of 4 months.
The Rebbe said that taking part in a unity Sefer Torah brings protection to everyone involved. Owning a letter in the Torah brings protection and brochos to each individual who has one and to all of Klal Yisrael from any sickness and security concerns.
This is especially important at this moment in time when the world finds itself in great turmoil from the pandemic COVID-19 virus r”l. Unity, especially through Torah, brings with it Hashem’s brochos for everyone.
The rebbe mentioned when starting the Sefer Torah campaign the posuk in Daniel “בעת ההיא ימלט עמך כל הכתוב בספר”, and said that anyone that has a letter in the Torah will be spared and saved from the tzaros that will take place before Moshiach comes.
Rabbonim in Eretz HaKodesh and in Crown Heights have reminded everyone of this important mivtza of the Rebbe to be done at this time.
