TAG Academy reached a major milestone this week as the state of Florida recognized the thriving school with accreditation compliance, allowing them to accept Step-Up and other state scholarship programs for Florida residents.
In the Jewish world as well, parents, rabbis, and educational leaders are acknowledging the great success the unique yeshiva is having with one of the most challenging demographics facing the Jewish community today, teenage boys ages 14-18.
Notes from parents are filled with great admiration and appreciation for the incredible results and growth they are witnessing in their children since joining TAG.
“Hi, this is Levi’s mother. I wanted to drop a message and say a tremendous yasher koach and thank you for putting your heart into TAG, giving these boys a chance, and most importantly, believing in them. Each bochur deserves to have their school believe in them, and you are definitely putting that to action. It’s places like TAG that are saving today’s bochrim, so I thank you for doing this holy work.”
“We want to take a moment to thank each one of you for your incredible hard work and dedication to TAG. We are so grateful for each of you making this your life’s mission to be there for boys like Moshe at such a challenging time in their growth and development. You have stepped up to fill a void in the Chinuch system, saving one neshama after another. This journey is a difficult and painful one for parents to travel, and knowing there are dedicated people like each of you, creating a safe place for these boys to be while providing support both in gashmius and ruchnius is an incredible blessing. Hashem should bentch each one of you and your families to be able to keep doing what you do; being there for these boys, helping them heal and guiding them in developing a real and everlasting relationship with Hashem. We are grateful Moshe wants to go back next year, and look forward to his continued growth.”
“Please excuse our tardiness in expressing our gratitude for the past 2 years. We have seen amazing growth with our son. He was very eager to show us his yearbook and videos. He is even setting up a chavrusa during the summer in shaar habitachon with an old classmate. We are grateful for everything you guys did for him. We know it takes a lot of patience and love.”
“Wow, thank you for everything you do for Yaakov and for all the love you give him!!! We are so grateful that he has this special relationship with all of you!!! Continued hatzlacha!!! It’s all these positive experiences that will stay with him and keep him connected!!! He feels and knows how much you care and love him!!! Yasher Koach!”
Poised to enter its fourth year, TAG has created its niche by focusing on each student’s individual character, strengths and needs. The results have been overwhelming with the boys thriving academically, emotionally and spiritually.
TAG received its name and is founded on the acronym and principles of Torah, Avodah, Gemilas Chasadim. These principles are not just part of its name but the very essence of its mission. TAG is committed to providing a holistic education that nurtures every aspect of its students’ development. They believe in the potential of every boy, offering them the guidance and support needed to grow into their very best selves.
The school is a collaboration of four energetic rabbis who clearly have their finger on the pulse of today’s adolescents. They also each have a wealth of experience educating teenage boys.
Before co-founding TAG, Rabbis Aizik Chanin, Zalmy Raksin and Levi Blizinsky worked side-by-side for 12 years at JETS, a technical college and high school for young Jewish men in Los Angeles. As well, Blizinsky served five years as principal of Wilkes-barre, also a school dedicated to teen boys needing additional attention and structure.
Completing this dream-team of Jewish educators is Rabbi Pinny Andrusier, director of Chabad SW Broward in Cooper City, Florida. Rabbi Pinny is renowned for his dynamic personality and for organizing large scale community events such as Jewish Heritage Night with the Miami Heat,
The powerful alliance, unity and chemistry between TAG’s leaders has allowed them to effectively connect with the students and help guide them on their personal paths of growth and success.
Blending Torah study, chassidic life-lessons and interactive Jewish community outreach, TAG students are provided a strong foundation and a wonderful opportunity to advance academically and even more so, in their middos and connection to Hashem.
In addition to a strong academic structure and curriculum, TAG is promising another exciting and successful new school year.filled with many extracurricular activities, adventurous field trips and daily phys-ed sports.
As space is limited and time is of the essence to receive a potential and significant scholarship, TAG’s faculty encourage everyone to register at once. To learn more or to register your son, please visit tagacademy.org or call 718-594-2917.
Current registrants already include teens from Brooklyn, Monsey, Lakewood, Baltimore, Chicago, Los Angeles and Montreal.
