Estee Ackerman, the teen table tennis star who was disqualified from the national finals when she refused to play on Shabbos, visited Camp Gan Israel of Poway, CA.
Ackerman, a multiple gold medal winner at the U.S. Table Tennis championships, visited the Chabad Gan Yisroel Day Camp of Poway, and inspired campers with her story.
Ackerman spoke with campers and even challenged Rebbetzins Devorie Goldstein and Bluma Rubenfeld to a game.
Ackerman made headlines when she refused to participate in the national championship table tennis files when they were held on Friday evening.
A senior at Yeshiva University High School for Girls, she hopes to become the 1st orthodox Olympian in 2020.
