She was not my grandmother, yet our families were connected through marriage. She was a wonderful woman with a ready smile and a warm word. She was gracious, witty and one of the most down-to-earth people you would have the privilege to know. She possessed true simchas hachayim and chochmas hachayim. In a time when it was so challenging to maintain Jewish identity, she did so with pride and resolve. What a wonderful, wonderful lady who’s presence will always be felt in the many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren she left behind. May her memory be for a blessing.
