World Lag B’omer festivities were launched in Sydney, Australia at the first bonfire in the world, lit at the Yeshiva Centre – Chabad NSW HQ.
Head of Chabad in NSW, Rabbi Pinchus Feldman OAM lit the bonfire as soon as the stars came out to herald this festive occasion.
The celebration was enjoyed by men, women and children from across the community and included jumping castles, face painting, live music, BBQ and a special magic show by Mr. Tim the Clown.
A very big thank you to Cheder Chabad Sydney who organised the event, Rabbi Dovid Slavin – OBK for the food, and the tireless helpers and organizers Morah Shaina Feldman, Rabbi Dovid Leib and Reb Shmulik Scuri sheyichyu! May Almighty G-D bless you all bechol tuv BGU”R!
