A group of Jewish community members from Sydney, Australia, including several Lubavitchers who were present during the tragic Chanukah terror attack at Bondi Beach, are currently visiting Israel and received a warm reception at the Knesset.
The group was hosted as special guests of the Knesset Speaker, where they were greeted with genuine warmth and respect. The visit included meetings with prominent Israeli officials who expressed solidarity with the Jewish communities abroad and admiration for their strength and resilience.
A memorable highlight came during an encounter with Israel’s Minister of Economy Nir Barkat. In an emotional exchange, Barkat shared with the delegation that he personally feels connected to Chabad, describing himself as “a Chabadnik at heart,” which drew smiles and inspiration from the group.
The uplifting trip was coordinated and accompanied by Ariel Nachum and Zalman Wolf, who guided the participants throughout the visit.
The delegation said they felt deeply moved by the show of unity and by the outpouring of support from the people of Israel and their elected leaders.
