Gan Yisroel for Tzeirei Hashluchim in Sweden is gearing up for another incredible Summer.
Over 120 campers attended last summer, and 60 more in the 2 winter camps, kids are excitedly counting downtime until summer camp.
Many Shluchim live in isolated locations around Europe, without access to frum schools. Camp provides the chance for kids to form friendships that they will treasure throughout their lives.
Gan Yisroel for European Tzeirei Hashluchos in Sweden began in 5769, and since its inception, hundreds of campers have attended from dozens of cities around Europe, Asia and around the world, returning home glowing with a renewed chayus in Shlichus, hiskashrus and friendship.
“Camp is an important part of a Chassidishe chinuch,” says Rabbi Alexander Namdar, who directs the camp with his wife Leah. “This is a wonderful group of kids, with an incredible Ahavas Yisroel, ingrained in them from their lifestyle on shlichus.”
“These kids must be such a nachas for the Rebbe…this is an amazing generation with an unparalleled chassidishe chayus,” says Leah Namdar. “To see the kids davening, learning, dancing, singing and just having a great time is a real joy!”
The Summer camp program includes inspiring farbrengens, great learning , exciting activities, water palace, canoeing, boat rides to the Gothenburg Archipelago, Amusement park, night activities and much much more.
The camp is a project of Chabad Sweden, in conjunction with MyShliach and Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch for kids of Shluchim between 7 and 14 years old. The girls camp also runs a Pioneer Bunk of 14-15-year-olds.
Gothenburg, Sweden, called the heart of Scandinavia, is renowned for its clean air, pure water, and close proximity to skiing and other winter sports. The campsite lies at the heart of miles of untouched forest and nature reserves. The campsite leads into the famous Botanical Gardens, with beautiful scenery, waterfalls and majestic trees.
The campsite is on a large piece of land, with access to an indoor swimming pool.
Girls camp will run 9-29 Tammuz 5780 (1-21 July 2020) and will be led by the head staff:
Sarale Lazar – Moscow, Russia
Rochele Namdar – Gothenburg, Sweden
Boys camp will run 13 Av to 3 Elul (3-23 August). The head staff will be announced soon.
