For a teacher, the first days and weeks of school set the tone for the rest of the year. But if the beginning of the year is so pivotal, is there a key to a successful start?
Dozens of teachers, both new and experienced, will now have access to a number of tried and true techniques and mindsets to help them have a successful school year.
After presenting workshops at the recent Kinus Mechanchos Chabad, organized by the Menachem Education Foundation (MEF), Rabbi Zelig Silber was asked by many participants to follow up with further teacher training opportunities. Taking advantage of the brief time remaining before the start of the school year, MEF has teamed up with Rabbi Silber to offer a crash course of vital tools for Mechanchos on Zoom.
A veteran Mechanech in Cheder Chabad of Monsey, as well as a sought after workshop presenter and teaching coach, Rabbi Silber has facilitated MEF’s teacher training courses in various forms for over a decade. “[Rabbi Silber’s] workshop was dynamic and engaging, with practical tools to implement in the classroom,” shared one participant in the post-Kinus survey. “I feel like I got practical tools to use in the classroom right away,” said another.
Maintaining an emphasis on practical application, Rabbi Silber’s course will focus on such essential topics as classroom procedures, student rapport, and engaging lessons, in order for teachers to feel classroom-ready for the new year.
Whether you’re an aspiring teacher, a new teacher eager for tools, or an experienced teacher hoping to gain strategies to make this year even better, this course will help you reach your Chinuch goals.
The course takes place on two Sundays, August 27th – 10 Elul, and September 3rd – 17 Elul, from 7-10 PM EST. You can still sign up for this unique opportunity at mymef.org/teachertraining.
