The central celebration to mark the annual completion of the study of the Rambam’s Mishneh Torah will take place Sunday, 11 Iyar, at 8:00pm.
It will be held in the Oholei Torah ballroom at 667 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, NY.
Distinguished rabbis and Roshei Yeshiva will participate and praise the daily learning instituted by the Rebbe in 1984.
When the Rebbe encouraged people everywhere to learn the code, he stressed the unity achieved by the entire Jewish People studying the same subject in Torah at the same time, Chabad.org explains.
Sunday’s event will mark the end of the 3-chapter-a-day learning cycle and the Sefer Hamitzvos learning. Others learn a 1-chapter cycle which is completed every three years.
There will be special seating for women and a program for children.
Cantor Berel Zucker and his choir will be performing.
