With the last three days of sefira, known as the ‘shloshas yemai hagbalah’ – the days when we prepare for the holiday of Shavuos- comes the return of music at Orthodox Jewish events.

After seven weeks of no instrumental music, aside from Lag B’Omer, upcoming concerts and events are expected to be well attended.
The Keren Avrohom Eliezer Camp Fund is holding their annual chinese auction Sunday, May 16, with entertainment by Jewish music superstar Lipa Schmeltzer.
The program will be chaired by Rabbi Shmuel Butman, Director of Tzeirei Agudas Chabad, and the keynote speaker is Rabbi Yehoshua B. Gordon of Chabad of the Valley, California.
Established 34 years ago in memory of Avrohom Eliezer Goldman hy”d, the organization raises funds to send children to summer camp.
The event will take place at Bais Rivkah Campus Chomesh, 470 Lefferts Avenue. The program begins at 6:30 sharp.
Another highly anticipated post-sefira event is being billed as “The Lineup of a Lifetime,” starring four Jewish music stars on one stage: Mordechai Ben David, Avraham Fried, Lipa Schmeltzer and Shloime Gertner.
The concert wil take place Thursday, June 3 at Brooklyn College, and also stars musicians Yossi Green and Moshe Laufer.
