Friendship Circle has always been about bringing people together—families, volunteers, and the broader community—through the power of friendship and inclusion. Now, for the first time in Crown Heights, that spirit of unity is hitting the ice in an exciting and meaningful way. On Sunday, March 23, hockey enthusiasts, Friendship Circle supporters, and members of the local community will come together for a one-of-a-kind charity game, where passion for the sport meets a deep commitment to making a difference.
The idea was born when Boruch Shpiegelman, an avid hockey player who has participated in numerous tournaments, saw an opportunity to combine his love for the game with a cause close to his heart. “The event will not only raise funds for Friendship Circle but also introduce new faces to its incredible mission,” says director Rabbi Berel Majesky.
Players will fundraise for the opportunity to be on the team, creating a dynamic and engaging way to support children with special needs while enjoying a sport they love. More than just a game, this is a community-wide effort to strengthen bonds and create lasting impact.
With free parking, an exciting atmosphere, and a strong sense of purpose, this event is set to be memorable.
Whether you’re a hockey fan, a Friendship Circle supporter, or simply looking to be part of something meaningful, this is an opportunity to come together and make a real difference.
The FC Hockey Match will take place this Sunday, March 23.
