For the past few years, bochurim shluchim from Oholei Torah Zal have run programs and helped inspire the younger students of the school’s seventh and eighth grades.
The 7th grade program, launched two years ago and headed by Levi Druin, is called “Shviin Chavivin”, which comes from a quote from the Rebbe’s first Maamer which means “7th is the most cherished.”
The 7th grade shluchim from Zal are: Shmulik Berkowitz, Mendel Groner, Yossi Mapour and Eli Wajsbort.
The 8th grade program, headed by Rabbi Yossi Bryski, which has been running for many years, is called OTEG, which is an acronym for Oholei Torah Eighth Grade.
The eighth grade shluchim from Zal are: Sruli Edry, Nissi Minski, Yoni Rubin and Boruch Wilansky.
On Tuesday, the bochurim introduced themselves with a bang by surprising their classes with pizza.
“The boys were excited to meet us,” one of the bochurim said. “Everyone is looking forward to a great, exciting, and meaningful year!”

There’s no logic in trying to discourage someone from doing good because they could be doing something else that is also good.
you have no idea what an amazing program this is thank you
I think it is wonderful that the bochurim spend time with the younger grades and run these extra curricular activites. It is both needed and an added bonus for the boys. To Levi Druin and Yossi Bryski, Keep up the good work.
A grateful Oholei Torah parent.
You’re invited to send your kids Wednesday night to BMOT for sicha sushi, where bochrim learn with those who aren’t in a yeshiva environment.
