I was zoche to be at Mayanot long enough to see a few caterers, and Chef Yitzchak really made a positive impact on the health and focus of the bochrim. As a bochur you don’t want to be so worried about gashmiyus, but the simple truth is that having a nutritious and healthful meal can make a big difference in your learning. Kol hakavod to Rabbi Gestetner and Rabbi Shemtov, who probably had to work extra hard at fundraising to make sure we had the budget for such a great chef.

The girls program got him too!

Congrats Chef Yitschak! I wish I was still there to enjoy your meals. Mayanot was already the best place in the world I couldn’t imagine how could it get any better. But apparently it can. All the best from Brazil!

maybe it is time he move to Crown Heights, and then maybe he can take over at Hadar Hatorah’s kitchen, please G-d.

Amazing

nice to see!
yeshivas concerned with the gashmiyous of the bochrim, and not ignoring it.
Make good food, and let the bochrim worry about the learning. and spiritual.
