b’h In answer to if this story is printed. Am not sure if Rabbi Mindel ever shared with anyone this original, in which case perhaps it was publicized if he did share. The original, as we have it in the Mindel Archives, was not printed by us – although we have been sharing it over the years. The story itself is well known. We are merely sharing the ORIGINAL – as it was written by the Frierdiker Rebbe himself and then subsequently translated to English by Mindel, at his request, for the weekly class he attended in the mid ’40s.… Read more »

I am trying to understand
the rebbe Rashab passed away in April 1920 so how could July 21 still be in the year of availus where the previous rebbe needed to say kadish?

Thank you Rav Shapiro for sharing these stories and episodes. Your complete honesty and fealty to the facts without any personal additions or agendas make it so compelling and interesting. I feel that these videos are priceless and give the Chossid a window into the Rebbe’s thinking from a totally different perspective—that allows the listener to connect and assimilate the information and then bring it into action.
