Today getting married is to difficult for people they give up to easy including myself.
Unless a man is setup in business or a serious career he has no future in Shidduchim. Having a regular job just doesn’t do it for most young Ladies it seems.
Seems to me that money security is more important to the average women today then the man himself.
Other than wanting someone who has the stability to hold a job, many many women have married and are still married to men who have ‘mundane’ or ‘mediocre paying’ jobs. I respectfully suggest that maybe it’s actually your attitude that’s been getting in the way.
With respect to you as well id like to say this. A girl came up for me and everything that she saw on my resume was fine but the fact that i didn’t have a job. what do you mean? i did have a job, i just didn’t have a career setup. Many young ladies go to college and gezunter hate, its good to go to college, but they then expect most guys to be holding where they are holding. with a career and a degree which is not reality. and this is where i think many of them get… Read more »
was your job something that indicated an ability to provide on a consistent basis? also your age also matters. a 21 year old with no stable job but is exploring his options is more accepted than a 31 year old who is still figuring out what he wants to do. it indicates something about reliability, skills, personality if a 30 year old doesnt have a stable job.
Maybe they are giving you a nudge to push yourself a little harder & reach your own potential. No need to be negative. Why not see it as a sign that you can do more! Hatzlocha!
