On the average Shabbos, a young shliach or shlucha may be expected to entertain guests, help set the table hosting guests from all walks of life, and generally be a living example of how a young Jewish child behaves, demonstrating the beauty of Jewish life to community members, while their closest friends and extended family do the same, but miles away.
Once a year, Shabbos Tzuzamen provides Yaldei Hashluchim with a break from this routine, with a Shabbos for young shluchim to celebrate together with their friends in the region. 110 Shabbatons will take place across the globe, each hosting shluchim kids from across their region. A shabbos like no other, with volunteer counselors flown in from New York or elsewhere, this Shabbos promises a vibrant camp atmosphere, in the middle of the year.

This Shabbos will remind young shluchim that their family is global – no matter where you are, you’re always part of something bigger,” he says.
A curated box of custom resources will be delivered to each host Chabad House, ensuring the kids visiting have the time of their life, with games, inspiring farbrengens, and bonding activities. Children across the world will have the same experience, united both with their local like-minded Yaldei Hashluchim, and those around the globe.
Enriching the Shabbos experience in many locations will be dedicated volunteer counselors, traveling from their respective yeshivas to the simultaneous Shabbatons worldwide. “Having energetic chassidishe counselors arrive in town to help the local shluchim run the shabbaton, ensures the program runs smoothly, and invigorates the weekend with chassidishe role models for the young shluchim to look up to,” says Rabbi Yossi Elberg, MyShliach program director at Merkos 302.
The MyShliach online portal, home to its extensive programming throughout the year, will play an interactive role in the Shabbaton experience. Yaldei Hashluchim can log in to see who else in their region will be attending their Shabbaton, and they can answer a special riddle for a chance to earn MyShliach dollars as part of the program’s reward system.

This week’s Shabbos Tzuzamen for boys is directed by Shmuly Simpson, with Rabbi Dudi Ashkenazi serving as the boys’ Tzuzamen staff coordinator. Next week’s Shabbos Tzuzamen for girls will be directed by Mrs Tehilla Deitsch. The Shabbos Tzuzamen resource box has been masterfully designed by Ms. Risa Brikman.
