Some of Europe’s top professional speechwriters recently gathered at Cambridge University’s King’s College for the annual European Speechwriters Conference.
Attendees included speechwriters from several European heads of state, major universities, NATO, the UN, and Fortune 500 corporations.
Former speechwriters for President Barack Obama and Prime Minister David Cameron addressed the conference as did, notably, Chabad Rabbi Shais Taub.
Rabbi Taub is a popular scholar and teacher of Jewish mysticism whose contributions to Jewish recovery include authoring the bestselling book, “G‑d of Our Understanding.” He is a scholar in residence at Chabad of the Five Towns and columnist of AMI magazine.
Taub was asked to speak on the topic of “The Spirituality of Speechwriting,” marking the first time that a rabbi has ever addressed the convention. Participants reported being held spellbound with the presentations unique mix of Chassidic humor, common sense, and uplifting spiritual perspective.

Simply said,
Breathtaking…
Why is Rabbi Taub limited to Ami magazine? He can inspire the entire world, Yidden of all backgrounds and lehavdil Goyim alike.
Enjoyed every minute of this
Torah, Chassidus , We have so much to offer as long as we are not ashamed to use it. Rabbi Taub you make a great kiddush Hashem by ALWAYS mentioning and referring to torah Chassidus. etc. even to non-jews. if everyone would quote from our rich torah and the Rebbes sichos, Mamorim and Igrois this would be a much better world and well educated. Rabbi Taub: Kol Hakovod!!!
Everything he said is in chassudus
the joke part is in mamar leca dodi
the mashal part is brought in samech vov mamar lech lecah (i think).
and the story is based of a gemarah in baba basra on is stories better or reason better. see 5659 “rana”t” first mamar for more info on talking to people.
