Chabad Shluchim serving in the Southern region of the United States gathered Sunday, 15 Elul, for a Regional Kinus Hashluchim in Parkland, Florida.
The Kinus was hosted by Shluchim Rabbi Yosef Biston, Regional Director, Chabad of North Broward and South Palm Beach, and Rabbi Shuey Biston and Rabbi Mendy Gutnick at the brand new Center of Chabad of Parkland.
Participants arrived from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
The kinus’ annual premise is to strengthen the bond between fellow colleagues, learn and continue to grow as vital leaders within their communities, educate within new environments, improve their knowledge, and take back a renewed sense of pride and accomplishment in their teachings.
The program included a day of workshops on how to create innovative programming, how to teach classes and reach different demographics, as well as tips on fundraising, Cteen, programs for the elderly and more.
Also discussed were various issues relating uniquely to issues connected to the state of Florida.
Speakers included Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos, Rabbi Abraham Korf, Head Shliach of Florida, Rabbi Leibel Schapiro, Rosh Yeshiva and Rov of Chabad in South Florida, and Rabbi Yisroel Edelman, Rabbi of Young Israel of Deerfield Beach.
The Kinus ended with a banquet dinner, with the keynote address given by Rabbi Shuey Biston.
During the day, the Shluchim gathered for their annual group photo, capturing the spirit of an inspiring, educational and uplifting conference.
