900 children and staff from 9 Chabad Day Camps from South Florida joined together this week for a CGI unity day with two incredible programs arranged – one for the boys camps and another for the girls camps.
Organized by Rabbi Shmuly Gutnick of Chabad Youth Network of Florida, the camps that participated were CGI of Parkland, Neytz, Bal Harbour, Sunrise, Palm Beach, Landow North Miami, Hallandale, Boca Raton and Lake worth.
The campers jumped off their buses and headed straight to the center of all the action.
Carnival rides galore, water slides and bounce houses of many shapes and sizes, a Ferris wheel, spinning saucers, foam machines and more covered the grounds of landau yeshiva where the event was held.
Of course water, water, and more water was available to quench the thirst that the hot Florida sun brings.
After working up an appetite the campers enjoyed a delicious lunch of pizza, chips, and lots of refreshing watermelon.
With their stomachs full and their energy restored, the rally began. Each camp recited a possuk, gave tzedokah, and cheered with all their CGI spirit. Tickets were handed out, fun games were played and amazing prizes won.
With their spirits raised high, the campers enjoyed a show by the Miami Extreme Team. The performers entertained the crowd with incredible stunts, fire blowing and had the crowd going wild.
At the conclusion of the event the camps cheered together with unity and true CGI power. Each camper received ices before heading back onto their buses back to their very own CGI.
Thanks to Rabbi Mendy Weiss, Rabbi Bengy Korf and Landau Yeshiva for hosting the unity day on their grounds. A special thank you to Shauly Snovsky, Dina Calabro, Dovi Calabro, Jonty Hack, Daniel Hack and to all the dedicated volunteers for making this day the incredible success it was.
