Tanya Trestman, whose husband is from Poway, California, has released a new single titled “The Lady Who Wore Pink” in tribute to Lori Kaye OBM at her first Yartzeit.
Kaye, who was killed in an anti-semitic shooting attack at Chabad of Poway last Pesach, was a close friend of the Trestman family and left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
“My intention with the song was to ‘paint a picture’ of who Lori was and how she lived her daily life constantly doing acts of good and thinking of others. I wanted to bring a little bit of Lori to those who never were lucky enough to meet her,” Tanya told COLlive.com.
“Lori was a kind, giving, loving person with such a caring and warm personality. She had a heart of gold and always thought about others and what their needs were. Her smile would light up the room and her presence would radiate wherever she went!
“May Leah Bas Reuven have the highest of Aliyahs and may we all take upon ourselves to give more to others and spread more light in this world in Lori’s memory!”

Meaningful and nice song. Great Job!
Such beautiful words
She sounds like a very spacial woman, this is a wonderful tribute to her . .
Moshiach now
The video brought me to tears. Everything was so perfect, the singer and her quiet emotion, the simple pretty art itself, the words, the cello. I’m sorry there was a reason to make it but it is a beautiful tribute. The words about Lori bring a person to relly think about goodness in a person. May we very soon all be reunited with Moshiach.
I’m so proud of you Tanya! This is a beautiful tribute to Lori and may her Neshama have an Aliyah!!!❤️
