Parts of New York could get as much as 4 inches of snow courtesy of a potential nor’easter making its way up the Atlantic Coast.
The National Weather Service says 1 to 4 inches is forecast for sections of the Hudson Valley, while other eastern areas are expected to get snow showers with little or no accumulation.
Conditions are expected to clear by Friday, with temperatures topping 50 degrees for much of New York state over the weekend.
Many airlines flying into Newark, JFK and La Guardia airports have cancelled flights to and from the New York area between noon Wednesday and noon Thursday as a result of the winter storm that was forecast for the region.
Travelers were advised to check with their airline before going to the airport to learn about any delays or cancellations.
The vaad of the Kinus has advised that they have revised the schedule for Friday at the request of Shluchim, allowing more time for those who wish to daven or learn in the Ohel.
Since Shluchim will be visiting the Ohel on Friday, the public is asked to take that into consideration before visiting, to limit overcrowding.
Message from the Vaad Hakinus:
New Friday Schedule Plus More Time at the Ohel
In response to the requests of many Shluchim, the Vaad Hakinus has revised the schedule for the Ohel on the Friday of the Kinus. This new schedule allows more time for those who wish to daven or learn in the Ohel.
Schedule: The first buses will leave from President & Kingston at 7:00am. Their arrival at the Ohel is timed for the start of a Shiur Chassidus by Rabbi Avrohom Sternberg of New London, CT.
Davening will take place in a specially designated area. The main buses will leave Crown Heights at 8:00am.
The schedule at the Ohel will be as follows:
7:00am — First buses leave Crown Heights
7:40am — Shiur Chassidus by Rabbi A Sternberg
8:00am — Second buses leave Crown Heights
8:10am — Shacharis
9:30am — Krias HaPan
10:00am — Buses begin to leave Ohel
11:00am — Last Kinus bus leaves Ohel.
Procedures: The Ohel will be set up similarly to the way it is set up on Gimmel Tammuz. Shluchim can enter ONLY from the Francis Lewis Boulevard gate, along a covered walkway with entry to the Ohel. Security staff will be on hand from 9:00am-11:00am to ensure a smooth experience. Speakers will be installed in the covered walkway and in the tent so all shluchim can hear the program inside the Ohel.
Buses will return to Oholei Torah between 10:00-11:00am.
WE ASK THE PUBLIC TO TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION IF YOU ARE PLANNING A VISIT TO THE OHEL ON FRIDAY

We love you!!!
Melbourne, Australia
Or better yet, a suggestion.
Wouldn’t it be great if everyone turned off their phones before walking into Shule and only turned them back on when leaving Shule??
Think about the peace of mind we would all have to daven to the Aibishter with. How powerful that would be…
