A fast-moving system will bring snow to the area late Thursday night through the Friday morning commute.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the entire Tri-State region ahead of the storm.
Forecasters say a widespread 2-4 inches could fall across much of the Tri-State area.
The best chance for more than 4 inches is coastal southern New Jersey, eastern Long Island and into southeastern New England.
The NYC Department of Sanitation has issued a “Snow Alert” for Thursday night, beginning at 7 p.m., and lasting through Friday at 7 p.m.
The Snow Alert means trash and recycling will be delayed during snow removal and Alternate Side Parking regulations will be suspended.
