Some 500 people gathered to celebrate Chanuka on the main square of Copenhagen.
The Israeli ambassador, a representative from the community and the mayor of Copenhagen spoke.
Mordachai Uzan, the father of Dan, the Jewish guard killed in the terror attack a few months ago, lit the large menorah. He was also presented with a plaque.
Following the outdoor celebration, many from the crowd who had bought tickets joined the indoor Chanuka party in side the main hall of Copenhagen town hall.
This event was in addition to the many other Chanuka activities of ChabaDenmark.
Including, a menorah on the square all week, a dreidel bike, a dreidel house with the Chanuka time machine. Children’s activities, and a number of parties at Chabad house and peoples home.
