A Lubavitch single mother in Brooklyn is in desperate need of help to cover school tuition for her child.
As a single mom, R. has difficulty covering many of her bills but she realizes that many people are in dire financial straits and the need is great. As such, she has decided to limit this fundraiser to tuition alone.
Any funds raised beyond that, if any, will be used for daily living expenses, from utility bills to food.

R. struggles on a daily basis between parenting responsibilities and work. Her children are her priority and she doesn’t even go out at night, to conserve money.
The father of the child has a long history of neglecting the well being of his offspring, he is not in the picture and not supporting his children in any way. The legal systems are slow-moving, meanwhile a school deserves what it is rightfully owed.

Very sorry to read this.
What I dont understand is how a school can make a single mother pay at the expense of other necessities.
There was a time when widows and orphans weren’t oppressed the way they are today.
My heart breaks.
Very disturbing to read that a Single Mother who’s struggling financially needs funds raised for schooling.
This Mom needs TLC from the community, as well as FREE SCHOOLING, & Monthly Financial Help to defray her cost of Rent & Food.
There is one elementary school for girls in Crown Heights who does accept such cases tuition FREE until they are able to begin paying part.
what is that school’s name?
Once upon a Time the ones that ran the mosdos would raise the necessary funds either from wealthy donors or parents of the school that were able to help others.
What has happened?
People are bowing down to the Brokers & Developers and the rich, and they have to have their second and 3rd homes and fancy cars and chandeliers. Who has the money to help a struggling single mother??? They have to run off to their second home in the country in their Lexus, etc.
Do you realize the Alter Rebbe says in Tanya that we should not purchase luxuries (like a fancy pillow) if our fellow Jew does not have the basics?
Indeed very disturbing. See the Alter Rebbe’s Torah Or p. 63b.

Please help – the mother must remain healthy in all ways for her children . I know firsthand what this feels like . Frightening and completely overwhelming. To the father : Hashem is taking notes on your cruelty.
