Benny and Aryeh have done a remarkable job in preserving this historical niggun as composed and sung by our Zeide, Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Rosenberg.

Thank you so much Benny and Aryeh.. a most beautiful rendition.. this niggun was the anthem for the Shanghai kevutza.. they were alone in the world, most of them orphaned at such a young age, yet they cling to their Emunah and Hiskashrus to the Rebbe.. this song tells it all..

Rabbi Moshe Bryski

wow!

Thank you Benny and Aryeh Leib, this niggun has a special place in my heart. My husband Yankel (Jerry) Simon A’h and his brother Motel, may he have a refuah shlaima, sang this song at my Tenoim back in 1957 and at our Shabbos table many times. What a beautiful rendition, may your always bring joy to people with your singing.

Wow

Forever Indebted to R' Yisroel Gordon

In 1991 at YSP in Morristown, NJ Rabbi Yisroel Gordon re-introduced this song to the 120 campers that were there. He continued doing so for many summers thereafter, thus ensuring this song would forever remain a well-known niggun in Chabad.

Wow

Rabbi Gordon taught me the niggun in YSP 2003

R Chaim Tashkenter

There’s a story going around that when R Chaim Tashkenter heard the niggun from his grandson, he told him not to just sing it stam azoi since its a holy niggun, as it’s the Frierdiker Rebbe’s publication that first had these words published in the 1940s.

I have not heard this in 20 years!
