After meeting Monday with the President of Singapore and its prime minister, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the synagogue, Magen Avot, in the Jewish community in Singapore.
Rabbi Mordechai Abergel Chief Rabbi of Singapore, delivered a prayer for the State, the Prime Minister, ministers and advisers.
Rabbi Abergel also opened the holy ark in the synagogue, to show the Prime Minister their collection of ancient Torah scrolls, including a 159 year old Torah which arrived from Iraq to Singapore.
