A lively and diverse crowd celebrated Chanukah 5777 together in Oxnard at the SimXa Family Annual Shabbaton.
There were participants who drove in from all corners of Southern and Northern California, and even from as far as Phoenix, Arizona.
A dynamic panel of speakers, including Rabbi Manis Friedman of Crown Heights, Rabbi Boruch Gorin of Moscow, Rabbi Gershon Schusterman of Los Angeles, Rabbi Dov and Rebbetzin Racheli Muchnik of Oxnard, Author Leah Richeimer, and many others delighted our audience with lectures on Chassidus, spirituality, family dynamics, creation of the world, and of course the mystery and magic of Chanukah itself.
The program consisted of lectures, learning sessions, relationship workshops, a tour of the popular nearby kosher Herzog winery, a public menorah lighting at Mandalay Beach, a bonfire with Chassidic stories for children, inspirational concerts for women, sneak preview into a new book on a journey ‘From Salo to Challah,’ and much-much more.
The retreat was a life-changing event for many of the attendees who have taken on new commitments in Torah observance, mitzvos and learning.
Very nice! Love the pics
Yasher Koach to all those who participated in getting this event off the ground and bringing it to fruition!
